Navarrabiomed develops its own public infrastructure on genomic data for health and research purposes.
The biomedical research center Navarrabiomed is leading the launch of the NAGENdata project, which aims to develop an infrastructure for sharing genomic data associated with the Navarre Genome Program (NAGEN Program) under criteria of privacy, security, sustainability and circular economy. This initiative in personalised medicine, funded by the Government of Navarre, will also contribute to promote the health of citizens and enhance health research with a gender dimension.
Genome sequencing identifies advanced hepatocarcinoma patients with worse prognosis
The Clinical and Molecular Hepatology Journal echoes the research carried out by Dr. Miguel Sogbe, a fifth-year resident in Internal Medicine at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, which highlights the prognostic value of sequencing the whole genome at low depth of circulating tumor DNA.

During the day, the Minister chaired a meeting with research staff from the Genomic Medicine Unit in which she was able to learn about the progress of the NAGEN Program projects that the centre has been developing since 2016 and the Infrastructure for Precision Medicine associated with Science and Technology (IMPaCT), which is coordinated nationally by the Carlos III Institute of Health (ISCIII) and centralised in Navarre at Navarrabiomed.
